Lisa Davis Gentile, M. Ed., is a poet, playwright, novelist, freelance editor and writer, and painter by night.  By day she is an analyst at UC Berkeley.  She also enjoys sailing, golf and being a newlywed.

Lisa’s poems have been published in several print and digital publications over the last 15 years.  Two of the short plays that she co-wrote with her husband, Nick Gentile, have been performed in California:  "Ten Minutes to Burn" and "Russian Roulette for Lovers."  She was a 2005 National Novel Writing Month winner.  Lisa's recent editing projects have included work on "The Collected Memoirs of Edith C. Curtis" and an upcoming Hindi/English children's book by Meera Masi Publishing.

In February 2007, Lisa's poetry and paint collage, "Nestle," was included in the "Art in the Heart of Pleasanton" ensemble project.  The final piece is now on display at the ValleyCare Cardiac Center in Pleasanton, California.  More of her artwork can be seen throughout Pleasanton thanks to the Pleasanton Art League Public Art Circuit.

Artist’s statement:  Life is performance art.  I learned this from Nick.
