chapbooks home![]() About Debralee Pagan Deborah Fruchey (dba Debralee Pagan) has been a fixture on the Bay Area poetry circuit for over 20 years. Her first novel, The Unwilling Heiress (Walker & Co.), was chosen as one of the best in its category for 1987 by the American Bookseller’s Association. Her previous chapbooks include Throw Back the Little Ones, Toasted Ice Cubes, Wheels of Moss, An Army of One, Out of Context, and Round-Shouldered Moon. She produces a poetry newsletter, Strictly East, which she hopes soon to put online. She hosts a monthly poetry reading from her home in Walnut Creek, Ca., and has recently been accepted into the American Directory of POets and Fiction Writers. She is currently working on a nonfiction book for the mentally ill. Debralee is a redheaded, recently married, jazz-loving Psychology student at Diablo Valley College, in Pleasant Hill, Ca.
