The public parks and pools are policed as though they were private clubs, aggressively, even hostilely, turning away non-members/residents, reaching the ridiculous extreme of requiring proof of residency, creating a booming business in fake IDs for seven-year olds Health Care Bureaucrats
She was oblivious to the obvious irony when she asked the patient, a health care professional, if she had made any advance directives, when the patient was having an ingrown toenail removed Health Care Bureaucrats (2)
The paper pusher at the psychiatric hospital refused to accept a patient brought there by ambulance because the patient had signed only a consent to be transported, not a consent to be admitted Perhaps he thought she consented to be transported there for a sight-seeing tour or the fine cuisine |
