About Marie Delgado Travis

Marie Delgado Travis is proud of her Nuyorican roots. Holding Masters Degrees in Literature and Law, she is the author of three chapbooks of bilingual poetry, ANOCHECER / NIGHTFALL, OFRENDA / OFFERING and PASION / PASSION, as well as a book of poetry in English, ORIGAMI.  All are available worldwide through online booksellers.
 
Marie has won awards in both poetry and prose:  most recently, SECOND PLACE for her poem "The Window" in the international Tom Howard Poetry Contest.  Two of Marie's pieces, “Me and Don Paco” (a personal essay) and “Abolengo” (a poem) are included in the newly released mass market anthology, CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE LATINO SOUL.
